Frank Bitzer, Director of ERISA Consulting at Marsh McLennan Agency was recently quoted by Planadviser for an article on guarding retirement plan data against human error.
The article explored the risks, including human error, that threaten the security of employer-sponsored retirement plans and their data. Hackers and bad actors have become adept at exploiting the vulnerabilities created by these mistakes.
To complicate matters, the current economic climate has furthered the issue, “Unfortunately, sometimes [companies] cut back expenses in IT, in security, software services and monitoring services. That’s where you will see human errors.” said Frank.
