On August 1, 2023, Marsh McLennan Agency announced the acquisition of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based Graham Company. Graham is a leading risk management consultancy and one of the top independent insurance and employee benefits brokers in the U.S. The deal provides significant business insurance expertise for Marsh McLennan Agency clients in the East region, adding to its deep knowledge of the employee health and benefits space.
Chief executive officer and chairman of Marsh McLennan Agency David Eslick spoke with Insurance Business Magazine about why acquiring Graham was not only valuable for Marsh McLennan Agency's growth but also allows Graham to unlock new potential for employees and clients.
“We wanted to find the right partner for [our East region] because they’re middle-market to upper middle-market when it comes to benefits. We knew that Graham [Company] would be the right partner because they are in the middle-market to upper middle-market space in the property and casualty area as well,” said David.
