Marsh McLennan Agency today announced donations to six non-profit organizations
December 16, 2020 - Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) today announced donations totaling $125,000 to six non-profit organizations whose missions support social justice and create programs aimed at serving underrepresented communities. The donations were awarded to:
With 90 chapters nationwide, NUL enables and empowers African-Americans and underserved communities to achieve their highest human potential and secure economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights.
The Twin Cities chapter is actively addressing racial disparity by offering programs and resources to help drive systemic change needed to transform the community. MMA was the Red Diamond sponsor for the chapter’s Unity Ball in early December.
$25,000 divided between three Montreal-based community organizations:
MMA’s national Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) Council was responsible for selecting the beneficiaries.
“After the George Floyd murder and the countless demonstrations supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, we were inspired to start our own conversations around race and inequality with our colleagues,” commented MMA DE&I council leader Kira Kimball. “Addressing societal issues head on both in the workplace and in our communities is key to recognizing and ending systemic injustices and creating a universal sense of belonging.”
