Webinar | Michigan Earned Sick Time Act: What you need to know
In July of 2023, the Michigan Supreme Court issued its ruling in Mothering Justice v. Attorney General. Consequently, all Michigan employers, including small employers, will be required to modify their paid sick leave. By February 21, 2025, Michigan employers must comply with the Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA). The ESTA is more expansive than the MI Paid Family Medical Act. Most Michigan employers will need make some changes to their leave policies to comply with the ESTA.
