The recent Los Angeles wildfires devastated thousands of homes and businesses. A portion of these properties housed fine art collections that were also destroyed.
Marsh McLennan Agency’s National Fine Arts Practice Leader Anne Rappa shared her insights with The Art Newspaper about the complexities of the ecosystem in place to protect valuable art collections from such events.
“The care of an art collection is not for the faint of heart. There is a lot of work involved in the care and preservation of an art collection, and there are many stakeholders involved to properly protect that collection,” says Anne.
