CMS releases new guidelines on nursing home visitation

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an update to its September 17, 2020 QSO Memo on Nursing Home Visitation. The revised Memo, “Nursing Home Visitation – COVID-19 (REVISED)” dated April 27, 2021, can be found here. While providers can use this for guidance, it is also important to ensure visitation is aligned with State and local health department requirements.
