Congratulations to MMA’s 2022 Break Out Award Winners

Each year, Business Insurance’s Break Out Awards program recognizes 40 top insurance industry leaders flourishing in the risk management and property/casualty insurance field.

Marsh McLennan Agency is excited to announce two colleague winners this year: congratulations to Dan Passanati, COO in the Midwest region, and Marc Schein, cyber leader in the Northeast region.

Dan Passananti, Chief Operating Officer, Midwest Region

At some point or another, every aspect of our business has fallen within Dan’s purview: from Business Process, Learning and Development, Human Resources to Client Services, Operations, Information Technology and Process Support. Throughout his tenure, he’s helped us foster a culture of learning and improved our colleague and client experiences.

Dan continually drives our technology and business processes forward, while flawlessly navigating the rigors of change management in a culture that places our people first. He literally wrote the book on leadership, developing our proprietary DNA Leadership program which serves as the training program for all managers. Dan practices what he preaches and leads by example, and is highly respected by colleagues and clients alike.

Dan is a graduate of Colorado State University and is based in the Greater Chicago area.

Marc Schein, Risk Management Consultant, Northeast Region 

Marc assists clients by customizing comprehensive commercial insurance programs that minimize or eliminate the burden of financial loss through cost effective transfer of risk. As National Co-Chair Cyber Center of Excellence, Marc collaborates with senior risk consultants and underwriters to examine the adequacy of existing client programs and develops customized solutions to transfer risk, improve coverage and minimize premiums.

A sought after speaker and panelist on Data Breaches and Cyber Security, Marc has spoken before members of Congress and leaders in the aviation industry on Capitol Hill regarding the issues and costs of security breaches, and how to properly transfer risk.

Marc is a graduate of SUNY Oneonta and is based in New York, NY.
