2024 Community Impact Report

Our Shared Mission, Our Collective Impact

Note from our Chief DE&I Officer

At Marsh McLennan Agency, our mission—building the confidence to thrive—extends beyond our office walls. It’s woven into our community engagement efforts, reflected in the time and financial support we invest in giving back, and is rooted in our values as an organization.

I’m proud of our colleagues’ dedication to philanthropic endeavors and am pleased to celebrate our community impact with this report. It provides a glimpse into the contributions our colleagues have made in their communities and serves as a reminder of the meaningful impact our acts of care and good deeds can make to improve our world.

I hope this report leaves you as inspired as it did me!

Global Volunteer Month

Every May, our dedicated colleagues at Marsh McLennan volunteer and fundraise for meaningful causes. In 2024, MMA team members made a tangible difference in the communities where we work, live, and thrive.

Long-standing Partnerships

Barney & Barney Foundation

Since 2009, the Barney & Barney Foundation, named after MMA’s legacy agency, has awarded more than $5.2 million to over 260 nonprofit organizations in California and Arizona.

Annual golf tournaments invite colleagues, clients, prospects, and carrier sponsors to celebrate the selected organizations. In 2024, $325,000 was awarded to grant recipients.

Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation

Since 2004, MMA has hosted a two-part Charity Classic, including a virtual fundraiser and a Cocktails and Cornhole event, benefitting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. To date, the Southeast region has raised nearly $7 million for its Butterfly Fund.

In 2024, we celebrated the 20th anniversary and raised over $500,000 from the two events.

Bruins Alumni Hockey Game

For the past two years, MMA colleagues have traded their laptops for hockey skates to play against the Boston Bruins alumni team. Regardless of the outcome, there are no losers in this game. The event raised $48,000 for three nonprofits: the Life is Good Playmaker Project, Operation Delta Dog, and Team IMPACT. The team is just scratching the surface and looks forward to raising more in the years ahead.

5K by the Bay

For eight years, colleagues have gathered to race for a greater purpose: raising funds to house combat-wounded veterans in the community. Organized by MMA’s Tampa Bay office, the race supports the Gramatica Family Foundation, founded by former NFL player Martin Gramatica. Over $100,000 has been raised to date.
